Match report 13/11/16 - South Leicester v Market Bosworth

Fantastic conditions for the second meeting of the season against a strong Market Bosworth team.

Both sides started at a brisk pace but Bosworth drove play straight towards the south line and only some solid tackles from Jack and Morgan prevented an early try. South soaked up the attacks and Callum managed to clear the lines but Bosworth are a persistent side and spun it out wide and scored the first try.

0-5 to Bosworth - conversion missed.

South rallied though and managed to steal the ball in our 22" and the backs complete a slick move moving the ball back to Callum who made a dazzling run along the left wing only to be stopped inches from the line by a cracking Bosworth tackle.

This galvanised the lads who surged forward with Jono taking a tap and driving towards the line, barrelling over to score a fine try !

5-5 - Callum popped over a lovely kick.

7-5 to South.

The forwards were working tirelessly with man of the match Joe Hunt having a stormer. He took the ball on a solid run down the middle only to be felled by a high tackle.

Bosworth are strong boys and managed to recycle lots of ball from the first contact they kept play around midway with a series of scrums. South are doing well this season in the set piece and secured ball, it was fed out to the middle and Spencer made a strong break, thrusting forward and setting the ball back well.

Bosworth were hungry for the ball though and scored a soft try in the bottom corner after our ability to tackle escaped us for a short time !

7-12 to Bosworth.

Charlie playing on the wing took a lovely catch from the kick off and made good ground but despite good work from Jono and George no further progress was made.

The squad changes at half time were made and South conceded an early try, again due to the tackling thief who had again stolen out ability to tackle
