South set the record straight against the Nuns!

First half
Nuns kick off, only for James to catch confidently and pass to Calum, bursting forward to feed Sam on right wing to score. Great start.
5-0 South

Nuns build pressure and a series of plays from South results in some wild passing. Scrum down half way and Nuns attack through their backs. South tackle hard and a series of rucks lead to George breaking away only to be tackled on left flank. South regain possession, but a loose pass from South is kicked through by Nuns. Nuns backs bear down only to be outpaced by Ben who chases back to cover. Ben runs back strongly but is tackled near half way. Nuns attack on the right getting the ball to their big winger who crashes in for a try.
5-5

Solid rucking and tackling from both sides. Nuns big lad again breaks on right only to be stopped in his tracks by Callum. Souths pack pile through, picking up the loose ball and Alex breaks away. Possesion switches back to Nuns but they cannot break through some fierce tackling by South. Line out South 22. More solid work by South pack and Jonathon steals. Scrum down, ball out to Reece and down line to Sam who is stopped inside Nuns half. Great support play by South leads to Jack breaking to sprint under posts. Alex converts.
12-5 South

Nuns kick off straight to Miles, who drives forward. Reece picks up and leads a South attack. Nuns tackle strongly but Souths rucking is too good. Charlie pressures, picks up and drives into Nuns half. Scrum down and South pack give Reece clean ball. Reece breaks through Nuns defence leaving them for dead to score under the posts. Alex converts.
19-5 South

Further strong play by Souths pack leads to Callum opening up and racing down the left wing for a superb try.
24-5 South

South are dominating play, but Nuns attack to Souths 22. Will makes a strong tackle allowing South to counter straight back to Nuns 22. Play switches yet again and the big right winger is back at full tilt, looking like he is going to score. Morgan is having none of it and chases him down, stretching in a tackle just enough to make the winger spill the ball, saving a try.
Half time 24-5 South

Nuns start the second half strongly putting together some good passes down the line. Suddenly Nuns try to force their way on the left hand side, but two thumping tackles from George and Charlie put a stop. Souths pack are fired up with Cam and Oliver driving forward like demons. Sustained pressure from Nuns and a penalty results against South 5 yards from their line. Nuns attack, driving over Souths line, but the ball is held up heroicaly by Morgan preventing a try. A scuffle starts on the pitch and tempers become flared. A heated discussion then ensues on the touch line but it can't take away from the hard fought game on the pitch.

Things settle only for Nuns to score in right hand corner.
24-10 South

Nuns seem fired up and plough on into Souths 22 with their centre breaking through South tackles. Nuns score.
24-15 South

Come on South! Nuns are going through a strong spell, but South continue to play as a team, rucking strongly. Line out South 22. Brilliant break by Reece feinting a dummy, linking to George who runs in a try from half way under posts. Alex converts.
31-15 South

Now it is South who are fired up. Sam runs left to right out stripping the Nuns defence, but is stopped half way. Nuns win a scrummage and are suddenly back in Souths 22. Charlie chases and tackles man into touch. Line out, Nuns gather and score in right hand corner.
31-20 South

Both teams attack through their backs but neither side wants to give way. Both sets of fowards battle on. Flynn and Devan making their mark in the second half. Scrum half way, followed by a line out. Ben picks up to race left, he is tackled into touch. A good phase by Nuns is stopped by a tackle from Alex. Scrum South 22, Nuns regain and spin the ball right to score in corner.
31-25 South

A great game is nearing its end with 2 minutes to go. South kick to Nuns 22 and it's getting tense. Charlie drives forward supported by the pack, for Reece to pick up. Ball is spun right, Jack scores under the posts and Alex converts
38- 25 South, final score

Great team performance lads. Everyone played brilliantly and sorry I could not write everything down. There was some tireless work especially by the forwards both in defence and attack.
