South Leicester just short of the mark today, against Lanesborough Prep School boys!

Bright sunny day with South actually having a sub today!
After an even start to game and
south defending in their own 22 some good work by Sam and Charlie the ball was released and a devastating break by Jack from own 22 he ran the length of the field to score!
Alex conversion 7-0
Souths Scrum under pressure and after another scrum turnover a quick break down left Lanesborough scored in corner conversion missed 7-5 south
Good play by South but another turnover ball in midfield and quick hands out wide by Lanesborough to right wing to score under the posts
Try and conversion. 12-7
South still tried to play rugby even in their own 22 which unfortunately led to an interception and try to Lanesborough

Good driving and offloading by Reece, Charlie and Morgan led to Mitchell scoring on the Right hand side

Despite some good tackling by South the Lanesborough handling Was good enough to sneak in the left hand corner

Half time with South to play with a gusting wind behind them!
First scrum of half created quick ball for Lanesborough and an arcing run from their outside centre creating space to score

Penalty for offside - allows for Morgan to tap and charge to the line and score under the posts!!!!!

South turned around their scrums and rucking and now pushing hard

Three late scores back to back and the final score was South Leicester 22 Lanesborough 42
After a flying start to the match South struggled to keep control the ball and after halftime they regained their composure and the scores reflected this.
With all of the injuries and illness the team have had the effort in the second half showed that they can compete with fast and skill full opposition.
