South played a touring side from Jersey at Market Harborough on a very cold day, on a hard pitch. South started the game slowly and quickly fell behind to two tries making the halftime score 10-0 to the touring side. Second half South came out a lot stronger and played better staring to tackle and work more as a team. As the game went on South grew in confidence playing some good rugby with the forwards playing well allowing the backs to run with more fredom and space. Overall South deserved the win as the touring side were tough opposition and could have scored more tries had South not dug deep and worked well together. South finished the game very strong with forwards and backs scoring tries with conversations going over as well.
Scoring was as follows:-
K.Williams - converted by F.Essam
D.Pegg - converted by G.Lewis
M.Cox - converted by F.Murphy
D.Pegg - converted by F.Essam
South mached their opponents well and showed a lot of commitment to come back and win the game. Tackling improved as the game went on and closing down the opposition also improved. D.Pegg continued his good form with two tries and excellent effort as did every other member of the team who played that day.
