South Secure a Draw Against Market Harborough

A sunny morning and a pitch in superb condition set the scene for a well balanced game in which both sides played some good rugby with 100% commitment.The game started with early pressure from the visitor's resulting in an unconverted try 0-5 to Market Harborough. The South pack fought hard against a well organised Market Harborough side with plenty of talent. Great back play along the line resulted in a try by H.Jackson converted by K.Hughes 7-5 to South. D.Pegg had a very good game playing full back and was in the thick of the action scoring a superb try taking the halftime score to 12-5 to South.

The visior's came out for the second half with two further tries to take the game to 12-17 to Market Harborough. W.Bass came on as a replacement and made an immediate impact on the game resulting in a try making the final score 17-17 in a highly entertaining game, with South grinding out a result which they had to work for. Tackling of legs still needs improvement and closing the opposition down when we do not have the ball also needs improving, but overall well done lads for working as a team.
