South travelled to Long Buckby for their first game in a couple of weeks, the weather was dull, cold & wet Neal Bryan's NEW wellies gave the travelling support a glimpse of this season's must have fashion item !(nice one Neal).
South came up against a well drilled Long Buckby side and despite playing their heart's out, were out classed by a side a couple of steps up from South currently. Early good tackling by J.Beech and good forward play was soon cancelled out as Buckby scored a few tries. Man of the match W.Bass scored the two South tries and never gave up trying to take the game to the opposition. In parts South pressed and when defending and attacking as a team the effort paid off with good rugby.
Well done to all who played as South took a large squad, well done also to Dave & Geoff as it was cold and wet for most of the match and all who turned up got on and played a part in the match.
If the team can now play each week, this will no doubt help, and carry on training HARD and being FOCUSED for Wednesday night training this will help for the remaining fixtures of this season.
Man of the match: W.Bass
