South turned up to play this local derby in extreme weather conditions with the game kicking off with heavy rain and strong winds. 2 minutes into the game Wyggs scored a try 5-0. South then started to play, putting Wyggs under pressure on their try line with good scrums and lineout play. Wyggs then kicked to ease this pressure, which was picked up by D.Pegg to score his first try of the match converted by K.Hughes 5-7 to South. The weather improved and so did South, starting to move the ball along the backs giving opportunities to score. Consistent pressure paid off with D.Pegg scoring his second try and again converted by K.Hughes to make the score 5-14 to South. Wyggs scored a late try to make the final score 10-14 to South.
A well deserved win, with the whole squad who turned up all helping, well done to the subsitutes who came on and kept the momentum going. South enjoyed the win which carried on back in the clubouse with some singing.
Well done lads keep the momentum up for the forthcoming games.
