Fun at the Mini's fun festival

Long Buckby, Market Harborough, Lutterworth arrived with a large squad of players, entering 2 teams, and Belgrave and South Leicester had a team each. Two pools of teams played for points and the winners from each pool played in the final.

For South in Pool A we played Harborough first, losing 10 tries to 5. It was a fast moving game with lots of tagging and passing. This was the kids first ever game and I think in this game they were just getting started and finding their way with the rules and working together as a team.

Souths second game straight after was against Long Buckby. All the kids played great and were consistently passing backwards and supporting well. Unfortunately we lost this game by just 1 try. Buckby 6 SLRFC 5.

Third game was against Lutterworth and despite being a little tired South played their hearts out! They were shouting for each other... Defending brilliantly ... Lots of tag pass tag pass... Keeping possession and scoring EVERY try on their feet! Their hard work paid off and South won 10-7 . The kids were so proud of themselves and myself and Abbi along with the parents were really chuffed with their determination in this last game.

Although it ended up a Harborough Harborough final ( well deserved ) we ended on a high and the South kids were rewarded with a small medal for their hard work.
