South lose out against a strong OLs side

Match day report
South u14's vs old laurentians (away)
Just turning up and looking at the weather we knew it'd be a tough game even despite the opposition being a tough team , last season we played and beat their B side but we knew the A side would be a different beast
After the referee made his checks we were set , both teams lining up for a minutes silence ... Kind of took most people by surprise but was soon observed and went without hitch ..
So at 11:10 the whistle was blown to start , both teams started off lively , south in particular made the better start and were soon testing the old lauentians in a big way forcing them to concede several early penalties which we kept the ball in hand running at them , balls were turned over and lost by both team in a thrilling but scoreless first spell , a few nice runs by Sam and great tackling early on by Charlie really set us up but after a well placed kick by their #10 saw us back tracking to our try line , Charlie just managed to put the ball safe and was awarded a 22 dropout
The dropout by Callum was a good one and saw a nice chase by south and a run by jack down the left made good ground , but sadly there wasn't much in the way of support and old laurentians got the ball , not for long though as Cameron won it back and gave us another opportunity to attack through the centre as Morgan broke a few tackles and made good ground this time support was there but unfortunately we lost it again and they came at us with all they had ... Great defending and pressure forced them to knock the ball forward and the ref played advantage after Zach hoofed the ball down the pitch and a good chase underwent but only a line out was awarded .... This went on for over 15 mins and only after jack having a blistering run they got the ball and through poor tackles and a bit of luck they scored ....
5-0 con missed
The kick off was a good one and Reece got his hands on the ball and was held up in the tackle , they had the momentum and finally as the whistle blew it collapsed ... Reece feeling a little squish emerged unharmed and the game continued
Only after a scrum to them they played the ball wide , once in their centres hand he shown good skill and pace to score on the stroke of half time
12-0con converted
Half time
The second half started strong , but a comedy of errors including a football style kick backwards gave old laurentians a gift and they scored a very early 3rd try
19-0 kick converted
An incident involving Luke went to the ref and it was deemed to be foul play and a 10 min sin bin saw Luke off ... But it later was suggested that Luke actually was the victim having been kicked on the floor by several old laurentian players ( I for one owe Luke an apology ) But I guess the ref only acted on what he saw ...
Mid match lesson lads ... If anything like this happens to you it's important to stay on the ground and play injured , let the ref investigate DO NOT RETALIATE ...
Morale was down , heads were down but you parents were there to support your team !! Everyone shouting encouragement from the side line lifted our lads and they went on the rampage .... It was great to see and after 5-6 good phases Reece got the ball running for the line , unfortunately he was tackled but Joe was there to pick the ball and run for the gap scoring the most delicious try literally out the jaws of a meltdown
19-7 con kicked by Alex
Soon It was clear that 14 players wasn't going to stop them and they scored as we struggled to defend
26-7 con scored
Back to 15 players and back to full strength but the pressure told , a try was disallowed for the laurentian side but they were camped in our 22 for the remainder of the match they score again late on
Final score
33-7 after they converted conversion
Was a great game but they were a strong well drilled side ... Parents played a big part today ... Just wishing jack a speedy recovery after coming off injured hope your wrist is ok ..
