South Leicester 22 Luctonians 22

A strong finish from South and a late flurry of scoring gave the home team a 4 try bonus point in this tight game that really took off in the second half
Once again the home sides scrummaging power allied to South's ability to disrupt and steal a lot of Luctonians line out ball, denied the visitors good set piece possession.
South's forwards were instrumental in the win but without the finishing power of the backs the packs dominance might not have been enough.
The visitors took a 20 minute lead when No. 8 Owen Davies battled his way over from a maul on South's line for an unconverted try. score 0-5
The lead didn't last long, from the kick off South were awarded a scrum in Luctonians 22, Chris Gibbs picked up from the back of the scrum to cross for a try under the post, Ricky Aley converted, 7-5
In the last move of the half Doyle dotted down for an converted try giving the visitors a HT lead 7-12
Ten minutes into the second half Luctonians added a further converted try from Burton and it was beginning to look ominous at 7-19.
South fought back starting with a Ricky Aley cross kick caught by Calum Gunn who touched down on the right wing for an unconverted try. 12-19
Dale Ager claimed another scrum against the head and from a resulting line out Aley set his backs away with Charlie Thacker putting Jacob Heath in for an unconverted try. 17-19
Morris appeared to have sealed it for the visitors with a penalty 17-22 until a last minute move from the south backs, Gaz Kerr came into the line, allowing the ball to get into the hands of Callum Gunn for his second try of the match, giving South a well deserved draw.
